The Governors of our welcoming and caring school seek to appoint an inspirational, highly motivated  and committed professional with the qualities and skills to support us to achieve aspirational outcomes for our pupils. You will work with our Headteacher and leadership team to deliver our school vision and values, enabling us to build on our current strengths. We are a committed Church of England Primary school and we would wish to appoint a candidate who will uphold our Christian ethos.

As the Deputy Headteacher you will be specifically responsible for:

  • Improving the quality of teaching and learning
  • Leadership and development of the curriculum

The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate:

  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to support, challenge and inspire others
  • Outstanding classroom practice, with a proven track record in raising standards and with the highest expectations of pupils’ achievement and behaviour
  • Have the knowledge and skills to develop teaching and learning and raise attainment across the school
  • The ability to lead a variety of teams  effectively and contribute positively in a team environment
  • Experience of leading professional development
  • Knowledge of whole-school curriculum development
