Our client is an Independent boys school located two hours drive north of Townsville. Nestled off the beautiful Queensland coastline, the school offers excellent terms and conditions in teacher employment. The school seeks applications from established and aspiring leaders for a Deputy Principal of Admin and Teaching & Learning, commencing 2019. 

About the Role:

· Commence 2019, initial 5 year contract

· The successful candidate will:

  • Support Learning and Teaching across the school
  • Ensure effective pedagogy is implemented to improve student learning
  • Implement a plan for a coherent and sequential curriculum
  • Provide appropriate leadership for a Professional Teaching Community of highly able teachers
  • Support the Targeted Strategic Resourcing of the school
  • Play a leadership role in School, Staff, Parents, Church and Community Partnerships 
  • Support The School Improvement Agenda
  • Develop a Learning Culture which promotes learning and success
  • Ensure the use of Data Informed Practices


· Leadership experience desirable but not essential for this role and aspiring leaders will be considered 

· Experience with all boys and/or boarding would be highly regarded, but not essential 

· Up to 12.5% superannuation

· Reasonable relocation allowance 

· Secondary boys' boarding school, 97% Indigenous students 

· Located north of Townsville

  • Possess current references
