St Edmund’s College is seeking to appoint a Director of Music. The successful candidate will possess impressive academic qualifications, have excellent management and interpersonal skills and be able to teach students of a wide range of ability. S/he will have the ability to lead a well-resourced department with a proven record of success, manage and develop all aspects of the running of Music Department including;

• the staff, both permanent and visiting

• the quality of class and instrumental teaching and performances

• full involvement in the liturgical life of the College including the  Sunday Mass

• organisation of performance programmes

• academic excellence which will attract musical pupils to the school

• music scholarships pupils

• links with the wider community.

The successful candidate will welcome the many opportunities to contribute to the lively extra-curricular life of the College, which is situated in rural East Hertfordshire.
