Dulwich College (Singapore) comprises 2,600 students and over 50 nationalities from toddlers (age 2) to Year 13 (age 18). The College follows the English National Curriculum followed by IGCSE and the IB Diploma Programme from Year 12.

The Role

Director of Music

We are recruiting a dynamic and truly inspiring Director of Music for August 2023.

The successful candidate will be an outstanding musician and teacher, with the expertise, energy, and passion to lead and develop a Music programme of the highest standard as well inspire others in our community through the highest quality musical performances and celebrations. This is a rare opportunity to lead an outstanding Music faculty of dedicated professionals in a College where Music is a central part of our commitment to students and parents.

The Director is well supported by three experienced and dedicated Heads of Music in each school of the College who lead the curriculum and academic development in their areas as well as collaborate effectively with performances. The successful candidate will be a highly committed team player with the drive, energy and passion to further develop this forward-looking team. Applicants must be willing to lead by example and play a full part in the College’s pastoral care and extra-curricular programme.​

In DUCKS, the child progresses from the Early Years Foundation Stage to an enriched version of the English National Curriculum (ENC), which continues into Junior School.  Senior School starts in Year 7, and from there onwards, students experience specialist teaching that provides a stimulating and challenging learning experience. The IGCSE programme is uniquely taught for three years from Years 9 to 11, while Years 12 and 13 follow the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme.
