Job overview

Entry Level Special Needs Support Assistant

Full time through Vision for Education - Bradford SEND School - September 2018 start

We are currently recruiting for 2 long term roles for staff to work on a cover basis, with the possible opportunity, if successful in this role to apply on a permanent basis.

This role would suit someone transitioning into Education from Youth Work or Care Work, or, who has recently finished college or a relevant course.

We are interested in staff who are trained in Early Years, Early Childhood Studies, Supporting Teaching and Learning, or in Health and Social Care.

You will have access to a comprehensive range of training from ourselves, both online and face to face.  You will be working with some truly amazing students and staff in a highly regarded school.

We are looking for an enthusiastic person with confidence, good communication skills and willingness to learn, grow, and develop your career - taking advice from senior colleagues and effectively assisting them in preparing learning activities and coordinating students.

This is excellent preparation for developing yourself into a career in Special Needs.

Work is term time only and initially you will be paid by ourselves.   If you thrive and continue on a long term basis, you may also have access to further training with the school. This is a fabulous place to work. If you have high standards for yourself and high expectations of what students can achieve, you will be welcomed into this school community.

Key to this is a willingness to work as a team and contribute to the life of the school.  There will also be opportunities to develop and take on additional responsibilities.

We take our commitment to Safeguarding and Child Protection extremely seriously and want you to share this in all aspects of your work. All candidates we consider will be subject to full referencing and background checks.  You must hold an Enhanced DBS for the relevant workforce, registered on the Update Service, or alternatively be prepared to undertake one with us.

The pay for this role will be between £8.87 and £9.50 per day
