Job overview
We are seeking to appoint Sports Fellows to start in September 2023, offering the following positions: Graduate Sports Fellow, Placement Sports Fellow and Postgraduate Sports Fellow.
The graduate programme has been running here at Oakham for ten years and has been hugely successful, not only in attracting high quality graduates into exciting and challenging positions, but also in spring-boarding individuals into the next step of their careers. Currently we employ Graduate Sports Fellows with specialisms in rugby, hockey, athletics, cricket and netball.
All graduates are expected to play a specific role within their own area of expertise, whilst also contributing across a range of sports. This will involve delivery of coaching sessions, team management, mentoring individuals, as well as providing one on one coaching.
All fellows will be put through CPD including a level 2 UKCC course as well as being provided with an experienced coaching mentor.

The School has benefited from significant investment in recent years. The latest improvements include a new classroom block for the Humanities, a stunning state-of-the-art Faculty of Social Sciences, fantastic Science facilities, a purpose-built Medical and Pastoral Centre and a major redevelopment of the Sports Centre.
The School’s location close to Rutland Water, in the heart of rural England, means our pupils and staff are able to enjoy the safety of living and working in a beautifully green campus just a few minutes’ walk from Oakham’s historic town centre and amenities. At the same time Oakham’s excellent road and rail links mean that London, Birmingham and Cambridge are all within easy reach.
