Are you about to graduate   from university and contemplating on your career   choices? Have you ever considered teaching? We are looking for an   enthusiastic graduate of Mathematics or a related discipline to work under the supervision of a teacher in supporting and assisting   teaching staff in the delivery of teaching or   teaching-related duties to students in a variety of learning environments, including:

· Providing 1:1 Maths tuition to students from all backgrounds

· Helping to deliver inspiring Maths lessons through team-teaching and other methods

· Introducing students/staff to the latest technologies   and research in Maths

· Organising talks for our sixth form Maths society and help with Junior Maths   Society 

Bedales was founded in 1893 with a determination to be different. The school   offers a wealth of opportunities to develop your teaching career and has an   established program of initial teacher education, which can lead to Qualified   Teacher Status, should you wish to go down that   route. The Mathematics department is made up of a group of highly experienced   and supportive professionals. We aim to work collaboratively to develop   creative and reflective teaching practice. 

Teaching experience is not   essential, though applicants will be expected to   demonstrate the potential to develop effective teaching skills within a   secondary school environment. Bedales School is an independent, co-educational, selective, day and boarding school for children aged 3-18. It is situated in Petersfield in Hampshire and there are 460 pupils on its roll. There are admission fees and scholarships and bursaries are available.

Bedales is a charitable trust and was founded in 1893 by J H Badley as a humane alternative to the authoritarian regimes of the late-Victorian public schools. Its founding ethos was, and still is, “Head, Hand and Heart.”
