We are looking for a knowledgeable, organised and dedicated scientist to join our dynamic and high performing science faculty. The faculty operates in 14 well equipped laboratories.  

The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of supporting the faculty in Science Education and will show initiative coordinating the work of others through effective organisation and clear communication.  

The successful candidate will have/be:   

• Previous experience of working within laboratories  

• Willing to learn and have the ability to pick things up quickly  

• The ability to support all science subjects up to KS5  

• Highly organised and efficient  

• The ability to lead or work as part of a team 

• Be able to work under pressure  

• Engaging personality with the ability to establish a rapport and build strong relationships  

• Excellent time-management with the ability to prioritise workload, multi-task and keep calm under pressure  

• Formal Science qualification. e.g . NVQ3 /BTEC/Degree or equivalent  

• Knowledge of COSHH/Risk Assessment/H&S issues including relevant regulations and codes of practice  

• Be committed to their own professional development
