Crudwell CE Primary is a delightful rural school at the heart of its community on the Wiltshire/Gloucestershire border. Oversubscribed in 2018, the school is the natural choice for local families. As a school, we are fastidiously committed to academic excellence whilst maintaining a family feel. We encourage a ‘want to learn’ environment, where children can develop their confidence and leave the school as well-rounded citizens. The governors, staff and children are looking to appoint a dedicated and inspirational leader to become Headteacher of our school.

The successful candidate will enjoy excellent support from staff, governors and parents at our caring and inclusive school. The post includes a certain teaching commitment which is negotiable. We would be more than delighted to receive applications from those aspiring to headship as well as those with previous experience.

• Has proven leadership and management skills, is innovative, and can inspire and motivate children and staff to realise their full potential
• Has excellent interpersonal skills and an easy ability to communicate with children, staff, parents and governors
• Can demonstrate a thorough knowledge and understanding of the primary school curriculum
• Can recognise and maintain the school’s strong Christian values and ethos
• Has a clear vision for education that will deliver outstanding outcomes for our children

At our last Ofsted inspection (in March 2017) it was recognised that our school ‘provides a solid foundation in values such as respect, responsibility and perseverance alongside a commitment to creativity and teamwork.’ Moreover, ‘the behaviour of pupils is outstanding’.
