We are seeking to recruit a Higher Level Teaching Assistant within the Humanities department. This role is to work closely with the Humanities department to support the progress and attainment of SEND students. The subjects supported would be negotiable at interview.

Edgbarrow School believes in setting the highest standards in all areas of school life and we are looking for a purposeful and committed individual who wants to join and enhance our strong team. We offer an excellent induction programme, and a highly supportive working environment. The HLTA role would also qualify in the admissions process for your child to attend Edgbarrow if you live out of catchment. This would come into operation after 2 years of service.

Edgbarrow is located in the village of Crowthorne, Berkshire. It is a thriving, vibrant and high-achieving secondary school where students are polite, happy, well behaved and motivated. It has been judged by Ofsted as outstanding.

If you are interested in joining Edgbarrow School and you have the skills and the qualities required for this post, we would be delighted to hear from you. Please note that all applications will be considered upon receipt, therefore an early reply is recommended.

Employment is with Corvus Learning Trust and not Bracknell Forest Council. The trust is very popular and for most posts a large number of applications are received - it is thus not possible to notify all applicants of the outcome. Please accept that if you have not heard within three weeks of the closing date then, unfortunately, your application has been unsuccessful - in which case we offer our best wishes for the future.

The values of the school underpin our belief and desire that students develop both academically and socially during their time with us. It is our aim that students should come to understand that they should care for themselves and for others. This development of the whole person is the best achieved when home and school work together.

We endeavour to secure a structured and orderly learning environment giving all pupils equal opportunity to grow in an atmosphere which values effort and achievement. Different styles of teaching and learning and good relationships make it a school where pupils wish to be.
