Hillview International School, Malawi, Africa

About Hillview International School

Hillview International School, located in Limbe near Blantyre, Malawi, was originally established as a not-for-profit primary school in the 1950s. Today, it has evolved into one of Malawi’s leading private schools, offering comprehensive education from Pre-Primary through to IGCSE and recognized for its high academic standards, inclusive community, and commitment to outreach.

Hillview’s High School was launched in 2015, and in 2022, the Pre-Primary section was formally integrated into the school. The school also provides facilities for Patsagolo, an independent institution for children with severe learning needs, as well as with local orphanages and schools, such as Bahasi, as part of our community outreach program.

Values and vision

Throughout its history, Hillview has aimed to be a centre of excellence, providing rigorous academic support for students of all abilities, exceptional pastoral care, and an enriching co-curricular program. Hillview is a vibrant, family-oriented community that strives to instil a love for learning and a strong foundation for life. Our mission is to foster independent, compassionate citizens with a sense of social responsibility, guided by values of honesty, hard work, integrity, and excellence.

The school's smaller class sizes, single classes across year groups, and warm, family-friendly environment ensure our students and families feel welcome, included and valued.
