St. Saviour’s School Ikoyi, Lagos is looking to recruit an outstanding Key Stage 1 Teacher from September 2023 or sooner.


ABOUT THE SCHOOL

St. Saviour’s School Ikoyi was founded in 1951 and has been a centre for excellence in primary education in Nigeria ever since. The primary school curriculum fulfills the outcomes of the English National Curriculum. Currently there are 330 children on roll, aged between 4 and 11.

We are located on a very pleasant, safe site by the lagoon on the island of Ikoyi. The small class sizes and high staff ratios contribute to our sense of family and enable us to provide all our students with the attention they require. Our parents are committed partners and play a vital role in creating this dynamic learning environment.

St. Saviour’s School is a successful BSO school and is a fully accredited member of COBIS and other educational accrediting organisations. The school is renowned for its academic and sporting success.

Interested applicants should have the following qualities:

  • a Bachelor’s Degree in the related subject with PGCE or other teaching qualification 
  • 2 years plus teaching experience in a UK Primary school
  • demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work with diverse groups of colleagues and children
  • possess humour, flexibility and a positive outlook
  • a passion for learning, with experience of current best practice
  • a commitment to the wellbeing and pastoral care of all students within their care
