About the Role:

The ideal Learning Assistant will reinforce the excellent work of the teaching staff by supporting individuals or small groups both within and outside of the classroom environment. You will be a professional role model to the pupils, with the confidence to challenge and the creativity to motivate.

To be successful you must have:

  • excellent communication skills
  • the ability to provide support that is second to none
  • experience of working with young people or children
  • first rate team working skills
  • a professional approach and high personal standards.

Experience of working with children with Special Educational Needs would be advantageous. You will be joining a passionate group of colleagues who strive to achieve the best outcomes for pupils in all aspects of their lives.

About Us:

Our purpose built new building opened in January 2018 and will provide 100 places for pupils (3-18) with a diagnosis of autism or Severe Learning Difficulties. The academy currently has 51 students and will grow each year until it reaches full capacity.

In return:

You will join a team of committed staff who are dedicated to ensuring pupils are prepared for the years beyond education and are supported to pursue their dreams.
