Redden Court School, a place where “Pupils are enthusiastic about coming to school to learn.” (OFSTED SEPTEMBER 2016)

Would you like to move your career forward in a friendly environment with eager students and support from an experienced faculty, in one of the best schools in our Local Authority?

Redden Court School is an oversubscribed school that serves the Harold Wood community and we are only twenty minutes from the heart of London. We are the lead school within a Multi Academy Trust which has another secondary school in Havering within it and a further secondary school scheduled to join in September 2018.

The inclusion Faculty is one of the largest in Havering and currently has over 40 students with Education Health Care Plans and in excess of another 100 who are on the SEND register. Redden Court school also provides an Alternatively Resourced Provision (ARP) for students with Autistic Spectrum Disorder. As a result we have a large supportive team of Learning Facilitators that are positive and offer support to our students within a team ethos.

This is reflected in our recent OFSTED report (September 2016) which stated: “Pupils who have special educational needs and/or disabilities continue to make good progress from their individual starting points. They benefit from a range of help. Inspectors observed pupils in the resource base making good progress in developing their reading and literacy skills. The environment was calm and pupils received effective targeted help to meet their individual needs”

We invest in our staff to help them to become the best they can possibly be. There are excellent opportunities for people who work hard. Effort is often recognised in career development. Staff who have come to us as Grade 1 Learning Facilitators are now in Grade 4 roles. Our CPD programme and collegiate approach are highly effective. Staff morale is high and so is that of our students and their community.

Our school mantra is "Committed to Success for All." That includes our staff and we want the very best for our students. OFSTED recently said we “have created an inclusive community where pupils and staff relate well to each other. The school is focused on working with families to raise aspirations for pupils.”

The title Learning Facilitator highlights the need for students to become independent learners where appropriate. We believe this is a positive move from a traditional Learning Support Assistant role.

If you have a positive approach, you are resilient and can enhance our team to support our young adults in overcoming barriers to their learning in order for them to achieve their full potential, we would like to talk to you. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a forward thinking school. This position would be suitable for someone with recent experience with working with young people or has a passion for supporting young people with Special Educational Needs.

If you would like to speak to the Head of Inclusion Faculty, Mrs A. Williams, please feel free to telephone the school. We welcome visits to the school from potential applicants.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and we expect all staff to do likewise.
