Job overview

 We are looking for a highly qualified BTEC Business Lecturer. The successful candidate will be actively involved in the delivery and assessment of Business  courses across the Faculty, including Course leadership responsibilities for levels 3, 4 and 5. You will have the opportunity to tutor and develop the skills and knowledge of our learners, and in close liaison with the curriculum team, provide excellent assessment opportunities for learners.

You will be expected to contribute to the development and on going improvement of our outstanding Business and Travel department.

A level 6 qualification in Business or a related area is essential as is a teaching qualification.Experience with working with 16-18 year olds is desirable. Ideally you should also have a track record for delivering high quality curriculum to a variety of learners. You should also be used to working in a high pressure environment where standards are exemplary. A positive and approachable attitude is essential as is the ability to internally verify student work / assignments across a number of levels including L3, L4 and L5. You must also be willing to work some evenings and Saturdays where necessary.

Cambridge Regional College is a co-educational further education college located in Cambridge. Providing places to students aged 14 and over, the college has several thousand learners young and old, full and part-time. Cambridge Regional College has seen extensive redevelopment and modernisation over the years, and as such can boast of a wide range of modern teaching and recreational facilities, with the most recent major development, which opened in 2011, providing the college with a brand new Low Carbon Centre. The college also plays host to a number of vocational teaching workshops and study areas.
