The Sheffield College – City Campus and Olive Grove Campus

The City Campus and Olive Grove Campus are a vibrant and successful part of The Sheffield College where high standards of practice and associated success rates are expected and achieved.  We are seeking to appoint well qualified and enthusiastic individual to join the Faculty of Engineering, Construction and Computing Technologies.

The post involves teaching Functional Skills Mathematics and/or Functional Skills English to students on a range of vocational courses. You will also be expected to contribute to the on-going curriculum and team-development and take responsibility for aspects of provision within the department.

The successful candidate should hold a teaching qualification in Mathematics and/or English or have a willingness to work towards. Recent post-16 teaching experience would be an advantage but newly qualified teachers with appropriate teaching practice experience will also be considered.  It is also essential to have good ICT skills with the ability to develop the use of VLEs.

You will also be an effective team player, be flexible and willing to take on new teaching challenges as new opportunities arise and become part of the growth and success of the department.
