We have an exciting opportunity for a Lunchtime Play Leader to join us, one of the founding schools of the Thinking Schools Academy Trust.

We passionately care about the education and welfare of our children and families and aim to enhance the life chances of everyone at our school. We are a small and friendly one form entry primary school with a specialist deaf provision and sought after nursery and nurture group.

We are based in a modern building close to the centre of historic Rochester, with easy access to the A2 and M25 and good public transport links. We have a large outdoor area surrounding our school with plenty of space which we utilise for breakout and intervention teaching.

We are looking for a well-organised and caring person to join our team to assist in supervising our children during the lunchtime break.

What you will need to succeed:

You will need the stamina to work both indoors and outside, whatever the weather! You will supervise children and work with them to develop their social skills and ensure good standards of behaviour are maintained. You will be willing to administer First Aid and provide welfare support.

What All Faiths can offer you:

  • outstanding CPD tailored to you individually wherever you are in your career;
  • newly refurbished extensions with large outdoor area including tranquil copse and pond;
  • we place value on the health and wellbeing of our staff and have a range of packages in place to support them, including discounted access to our Trust’s Thinking Fitness centre;
  • free on-site parking.

What you need to do now:

If you are looking for a part-time but very fulfilling role, please apply today.

Visits to our school are very welcome and strongly encouraged before application. Please contact Karen Holdsworth, Office Manager, to arrange a visit. Email: office@allfaithschildrensacademy.org.uk. We would be delighted to welcome you to our school.

Closing date: Friday 26th October 2018

Early applications are encouraged and we reserve the right to close the vacancy if a suitable candidate is found.

The Academy is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. DBS disclosures at enhanced levels, Children’s Barred List check and references which are satisfactory to the school will be required prior to any offer of employment.

About All Faiths Children’s Academy

All Faiths Children’s Academy is a one form entry school, we specialise in teaching deaf children and our expert staff help students to communicate effectively using British Sign Language, Sign Supported English, finger spelling, lip reading and speech using a Total Communication approach. Deafness itself is not a barrier to learning or an obstacle; every pupil deserves to have the highest expectations for achievement.

As an accredited Thinking school, we believe that children learn best when a wide and exciting curriculum is delivered through a framework which allows them to think carefully about everything that takes place. They learn to explore, discover and question through a range of daily activities both inside and outside the classroom.
