We are seeking to appoint a skilled and enthusiastic teacher for January 2019 (or later). Candidates should be graduates in Mathematics with a proven record of A-level and GCSE/IGCSE teaching success. Salary will be in line with qualifications and experience. The College is a member of the Teachers’ Pension Scheme.

The College

Cambridge Tutors College is a leading international A level and GCSE college, founded in Warlingham, Surrey in 1958 and which now occupies a pleasant park side location in South Croydon. Approximately 80% of the 100 students come from overseas countries including China, Latvia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Russia, Singapore and Vietnam. The college has built up a strong reputation for excellence in teaching all subjects with particular emphasis on science, mathematics and economics.

The Mathematics Department

The Department contains four tutors and is the largest in the College. Mathematics and Further Mathematics are offered at A level. Mathematics is also available at IGCSE level.  Students often choose to study Mathematics alongside the sciences and/or Economics and they achieve outstanding results on a regular basis. As with all subjects at CTC, students are taught in groups with a maximum of nine students and are tested each week under examination conditions. Students take the Edexcel examination for both A Level and IGCSE.  Students are also prepared for AEA and STEP examinations as well as Maths Challenges and Olympiads.

Cambridge Tutors College is an independent sixth form college in Croydon, South London. The college has a strong international focus with students attending from a huge range of countries. The college is co-educational, offering places to around 110 students aged 15-19 looking to study GCSEs and A-levels before entering university. The college was first founded in 1958, and over the years has developed a strong reputation among international sixth form colleges in the UK. Cambridge Tutors College has had significant investment over the years, and now boasts of a range of modern teaching facilities. Many students at the college will live with host families in the local area.
