Nursery Assistant (Apprentice)

A full time, term-time only Nursery Assistant is required to work as part of a supportive team in a busy, caring, vibrant and thriving independent nursery for children aged 2 years 9 months to 4 years, which is part of a Junior School.

Set in its own separate unit, the Nursery is well resourced with large learning areas, kitchen area for children’s cooking and spacious outdoor areas. There are many links to the Junior School and the Nursery has use of the Gym, Sensory Garden and grounds. 

Your job will be to support in the provision of a high quality, caring and secure environment which enables young children to learn, play and develop into confident happy learners. 

You will assist in the education of the children, promote their well-being and ensure their safety. 

You will make written and visual observations of children to inform future planning and help complete Early Years Foundation Stage profiles.

You will ensure the Nursery is safe, clean, presentable and stimulating, and ensure that any communication with children, parents and staff is relevant and courteous at all times.
