Rockingham Primary School is recruiting for a part time, experienced Key Stage 2 classroom Teacher to join our wonderful team as soon as possible. (Please note that this role is not suitable for an ECT)

 About the role

  • To cover PPA and subject release time across the KS2 phase.
  • To carry out appropriate planning, teaching, marking and assessment activities so each child can achieve their potential.
  • To be responsible for the day-to-day work and management of the class and the safety and welfare of the pupils, during on-site and off-site activities.
  • To promote the aims and objectives of the school and maintain its philosophy of education. 
  • This is a fixed term position until July 2023 and is a part time, 0.6 FTE role.

Who we are looking for

  • Qualified teacher status .
  • A degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience working in a Primary setting across KS2 (not suitable for an ECT).
  • Evidence of in-service professional development.
  • The ability and willingness to work collaboratively and supportively within the school team.
  • Has a thorough knowledge and understanding of safeguarding children.
  • Demonstrates a good understanding of assessment and progress
  • Has a thorough understanding of the national curriculum.
  • Has a strong application of ICT to enhance children’s learning.
