We are looking for a Pastoral Assistant to join our outstanding team at Harris Academy Tottenham.

Your role:

This is a demanding and exciting role which is about ensuring the ambitious vision for Harris Academy Tottenham becomes a reality. As a Pastoral Leader you will be working as part of a team focused on developing a dynamic and inspirational  vision of education, and implementation of this vision for an Outstanding academy which is recognised for excellence.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has a good understanding of the emotional development of children and is aware of the factors that can impact on this development;
  • Is confident in a variety of behaviour management techniques;
  • Has a good working knowledge and understanding of developing social interaction skills with children and adults;
  • Has experience of working on their own with vulnerable children;
  • Is able to use their initiative, be creative and be flexible in approaches and the children they may be working with;
  • Has an enjoyment and knowledge of using the outdoors for learning and development;
  • Is inclusive and believes every child can succeed.

Harris Academy Tottenham is a new academy with a Specialism in Mathematics and Enterprise, judged by Ofsted as 'Outstanding' in 2017. About Harris Academy Tottenham

Harris Academy Tottenham opened in September 2014. As an all-through school, it began with a Reception in its Primary phase and a Year 7 in its Secondary phase. These phases are growing by a year group each September until it reaches full capacity and it will also have a Sixth Form.
