Penang, "The Pearl of the Orient", lies off the northwestern coast of Peninsular Malaysia. The tropical island covers an area of about 285 sq. km; it is linked to the mainland by two bridges and a ferry service. Its population of more than 1 million represents a happy mix of the major races found in Malaysia.

Penang enjoys a clean, safe and secure environment. It has an equatorial climate, which is a pleasant mix of warm, sunny days and occasional cooling rain storms, with temperatures between 24oC to 34oC.

Penang has everything – beautiful golden beaches with swaying palm trees, the lush green tropical rainforests of Penang Hill, the World Heritage city of Georgetown as well as a developed and impressive modern hi-tech industrial area. More information can be found at https://mypenang.gov.my/
