An exciting opportunity has arisen for a pastoral and admin support manager to work within the post 16 center at Washwood Heath Academy.
The successful applicant will work pro-actively with students, teachers, heads of department and the wider school support team. They will promote, progress, achievement and the social and emotional wellbeing of students within years 12 and 13.
The successful applicant will have experience of working within a secondary school environment. They will have knowledge and understanding of such duties as, monitoring attendance, providing pastoral support to individual students and managing the various administrative processes involved within a busy educational environment.
The role will suit a candidate who is passionate about working with children and helping them reach their best potential during their secondary education.
Meticulous attention to detail is paramount. The successful applicant should have excellent IT skills, be well organised, have a professional approach to work and be able to priorities workloads to meet critical deadlines. They must also be willing to undertake additional training as required and directed by the Academy.
Excellent communication skills both oral and written are also an essential part of the role as correspondents with staff, students, parents and external agencies will be required.
The successful applicant will be working under the direct supervision of the Head of Post 16 to provide effective student pastoral support and to fulfill the administrative requirements of the post 16 center.

I am delighted to welcome you to Washwood Heath Academy - a thriving All-through school in the heart of the local community. Washwood Heath Academy offers a rich, stimulating and rewarding learning environment for pupils aged 4 - 18.
Washwood Heath Academy is an oversubscribed All-through school, educating children from EYFS to Sixth Form. Our new purpose built primary school facility was opened in March 2019 and provides a fantastic teaching and learning environment for our younger pupils. At key stage 4 (Years 9 to 11), the school offers an academic GCSE English Baccalaureate core for an increasing number of pupils and a broad choice of option subjects.
