About your school

The British School of Beijing Shunyi (BSBSY), a member of the Nord Anglia Education family of schools, is looking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed Physical Education Teacher to join the School from August 2019. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to teach throughout the School, and will work with a team of dedicated specialists within their departments who already achieve excellent results in excellent facilities, and believe they can be truly outstanding.

BSBSY is at an exciting stage of its development, having grown very significantly in the past decade and now numbering approximately 1,000 students aged 1-18. We have outstanding students from approximately 60 nationalities, who thrive academically and who are committed to achieving their best, and who grow with us as true global citizens through our culture of respect, opportunity and personal development. About the role

We’ll look to you to promote high expectations for our students, designing learning activities that are to our school’s curriculum and creating a learning culture where there are no limits to what can be achieved. You will foster an environment of respect within the classroom, facilitating learning through questioning and discussion.

About you

Able to adapt quickly to our fast-paced international environment, you will bring a degree, a recognised teaching qualification and considerable teaching experience. Committed and creative, you will be reflective on your own teaching and student outcomes, seeking out and implementing new ideas and innovative practice to raise achievement.

Keen to collaborate and share your specialist expertise, you will be a fitting ambassador for the school. You will communicate with confidence across diverse audiences and situations, using your expertise to build strong relationships with parents and students. You will also be able to meet visa-related restrictions for China, including the items as bellows;

• Must hold a bachelors degree or above
• Must hold Teaching Certificate
• At least two years working experience in education

Selection Process

The closing date for application is Friday 8th Feb 2019. Interviews will be conducted by Skype or telephone with the Director of Sport and PE and the Head of Primary PE with a final interview with the Head of Primary.
