Primary PE Teacher with Swim Specialism

Kings' School Al Barsha is seeking a highly motivated, dynamic, and enthusiastic PE teacher with a specialism in swimming to join our team in August 2023.

Our PE department is superbly resourced, with extensive facilities that support a wide range of sports and extra-curricular activities. Sport is a major part of student life at Kings’ and the successful candidate will be expected to devote time both before and after school, as well as the occasional weekend, to running clubs and competitive teams.

Requirements:

• Holds a bachelor’s degree with Physical Education or related subject;
• Holds a Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), PGCE or equivalent;
• Strong subject knowledge and sheer enthusiasm for the subject that you are ready to share with our students;
• Minimum 2 years of teaching experience at the Primary or Secondary level;
• Energy, vigour, perseverance, stamina and resilience;
• Able to teach consistently inspirational lessons and a track record of delivering outstanding results;
• Highly collaborative with the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of audiences including students, parents, teachers, and associate staff;
• Evidence of commitment to recent professional development relevant to this role;
• Share ideas that will help to further the high profile of the department within the school;
• Able to assist other coaches in the delivery of the sports program, specifically for swim for all age groups;
• Proven track record of developing school Swim Squads and/or programmes;
• ICT skills that reflect the impact of technology in today’s classrooms;
• A commitment to the extra-curricular Opportunities programme;
• Willingness to contribute to school life, support school programs on health, fitness, and hygiene education;
• A commitment to the wellbeing and pastoral care of all students within their care; 
• Able to use data to enhance learning outcomes;
• Innovative, creative and positive mindset.
