Primary Teacher (Key Stage 2) - For August 2023

The International School @ ParkCity, Kuala Lumpur (www.isp.edu.my) is located in the exclusive residential area of Desa ParkCity, Kuala Lumpur (www.desaparkcity.com). The school opened in September 2011 and quickly established itself as an exceptional and dynamic place for children to learn. In our recent International Schools Quality Mark (ISQM) accreditation, we were recognised as Gold Level and were identified as being outstanding in all 8 standards during the accreditation visit. 

The high calibre of staff that we appoint help to shape our unique, vibrant school and are highly valued. As we grow, we seek to recruit professionals who are genuinely excited by teaching and who will complement our existing staff.

We are therefore inviting applications from qualified, enthusiastic and outstanding Primary Teachers (Key Stage 2) to join our team from August 2023. 

Applicants for the position should:

• be an excellent classroom practitioner who sets high expectations for attainment and progress and attitude to learning
• be proficient and experienced at delivering an enriched UK National Curriculum at Key Stage 2 (or express a willingness to move into Key Stage 2 from Key Stage 1)
• have excellent communication skills and positive work ethic in order to work collaboratively and effectively as part of a team 
• be able to employ different strategies to support and accelerate the learning of all students, in particular multilingual learners
• possess humour, energy and the ability and willingness to go above and beyond, positively contributing to the development of our school
• exhibit competency in the use of educational technologies and demonstrate an innovative approach to teaching and learning
• familiarity with the International Primary Curriculum and a mastery approach to teaching Maths is desirable, yet not essential.
• be committed to contributing to the sports, performing arts and CCA programmes across the school 
• be fully vaccinated against Covid-19 (this is a requirement of the Ministry of Education)
• possess a recognised teaching qualification with a minimum of 2 years teaching experience

2023-24 will see our Primary School relocate into a brand new building attached to the existing campus via a linkbridge. Applicants should be ready to set up new classrooms and contribute to the establishment of a new working environment for all primary students.
