We are looking for an energetic, passionate, ambitious, hardworking and talented leader to be the new Principal at Nene Park Academy from January 2019.  You will have a proven track record of success and have leadership, responsibility and strategic direction for all aspects of the academy.  You will encourage an infectious and confident culture of achievement that promotes excellence, inclusion and high expectations.

NPA continues to be rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted (February 2018) and we are now looking for an exceptional individual who can take the academy forward to excellence.

As part of Cambridge Meridian Academies Trust (CMAT), NPA is an oversubscribed, 11-18 non-selective school with a track record of delivering successful outcomes for students and an inspiring curriculum which helps to develop fully rounded young people.  It is a fantastic place to teach, lead and develop personally.  Our roll is currently 987 in years 7-11 and 218 in Post 16, a total of 1205 students.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic, innovative and vibrant academy within a successful, growing trust. If you want to work with wonderful students, committed staff and a forward thinking leadership team, this is the academy for you. We have recently opened our new £7m extension, allowing us to increase our admissions number by two forms of entry as a result of the popularity of the academy and the increasing demand for places.

NPA and CMAT exists to provide, support, and champion high-quality education at the heart of local communities.

• a post with the potential for future progression both within this role and in the wider trust

• working with a dynamic team which consists of CEO, Executive Principals, and a supportive Senior Leadership Team

• the support of the wider trust network of experts and access to informal and formal professional development

• a successful Teaching School with a strong track record of staff development, ITTs and supporting other schools

• attractive residential location, close to the historic and vibrant city centre of Peterborough with its magnificent cathedral and close to Ferry Meadows, one of the largest country parks within the region

• close to the train station with excellent rail links to major cities and a commuting time of 45 minutes to and from London.

The successful candidate will have:

• A passionate and uncompromising commitment to student achievement

• A track record of inspirational leadership securing excellent outcomes for students

• Outstanding communication skills and personal integrity

• Experience of converting vision into school improvement and transformation
