Are you a confident and motivational leader, able to inspire, support and challenge colleagues and students?

Homewood is looking for a new leader – are you that person?

This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to join our innovative and vibrant learning community.  Homewood School & Sixth Form Centre is an inclusive wide-ability Academy working within Tenterden Schools Trust, a group of local schools committed to improving the provision and outcomes for our students from 0 to 19.  Our vision is to provide a world class learning experience for our students, working as a team and learning in partnership with one another and the wider community.

Providing leadership in all aspects of our Academy, you will have a proven track record of leading, developing and motivating staff and have the determination, stamina and optimism to rise to the challenges of leadership in a large school.  Furthermore, you will have an ethos and vision that supports our values and culture together with a strong commitment to inclusion and high expectations for all learners.

Committed to continuous improvement of teaching and learning, you will work with our Executive Team  to design and implement the curriculum and the broader pupil experience to enable our students to achieve their very best.

We will look to you to encourage reflective practice and professional development to enable colleagues to flourish and will be ready to hold staff to account for performance and conduct with both rigour and concern. As such, you will demonstrate exceptional interpersonal skills, be a role model in our wider community, and lead by example - modelling best practice in relation to professional conduct and personal development.

In return, you will enjoy a unique working environment in the beautiful town of Tenterden in the heart of the Weald of Kent. In addition to a full induction programme, you will be provided with ongoing support in order to progress. All teaching staff are provided with an IT device, discounts and offers with Kent Rewards and there is an independent nursery based on the school site which offers discounts to Homewood Staff.

If you would like the visit the school prior to your application, please contact Nicki Callingham, HR Manager, who will be pleased to arrange this for you.
