About the Role  

We’re looking for a Procurement & Contract Manager to support APG’s success by managing our contracts and shaping an effective procurement strategy.  Our procurement needs to be one step ahead of our future plans. When you join we will ask you to define, develop and deliver a strategy to ensure security of supply for APG’s growth and margin targets over the next few years.  

Responsibilities  

Develop a robust and sustainable procurement strategy, including the tools and processes for exceptional supplier relationship management, policies and guidance, ensuring fit for purpose and value for money. 

• Provide guidance on supplier selection across the Schools and Colleges 

• Lead the end-to-end management of contract tender process ensuring best value outcomes in the acquisition of goods and services 

• Work with stakeholders across the organisation to deliver value and drive growth 

• Produce policies and procedures that are up to date and fit for purpose You will also lead the buying process, engage suppliers to get quotations, analyse offers and negotiate to close the deal. 

Reviewing and drafting contracts is something you love to do.  

The role, in the first instance, is a fixed term contract of six months. Salary circa £50,000
