The Heartlands Community Trust opens, in September 2018, The Grove, a brand new specialist school for young people aged between 5-19 years, who have a primary diagnosis of autism and an Education Health Care Plan. We are looking to recruit a School Office Manager who is keen to join the school on its start up journey.

We are located within the local authority of Haringey, providing much needed places for pupils all over the borough, we are already at full capacity for September 2018. Our curriculum will provide for a vast range of abilities including complex needs and students who are academically able. The school will be opening in temporary accommodation for its first year, with the post likely to be located at our primary site at St Mary’s CE Primary School N8 7QN with time across the week located at our secondary site at Heartlands High School, N22 7ST. The school will move to it’s brand new site located near Turnpike Lane N17 in September 2019. 

As part of the Heartlands Community Trust, we draw on the central services within the Trust to support our school and staff. The successful postholder will be supported through the specialist teams within the Trust and have access to a range of training where required. 

We are looking for a School Office Manager to join our brand new team of professionals in a school at the beginning of its journey and play a pivotal role in its success and development, particularly setting up the systems and operations for school administration.

Candidates will need to be positive, highly confidential with all matters, have a professional attitude, be well organised, highly flexible and have excellent inter-personal skills. They should create a professional and welcoming office environment; have a calm and tactful attitude with excellent communication skills; have strong IT skills including MS Office applications; and have excellent and efficient organisational skills.

The successful post holder will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the school office, developing a small team of administrators as we increase our capacity and provide a first class, professional service to our stakeholders.

Support and development:

At Heartlands, we use School IP to track and support training and ongoing CPD. Depending on your need and level of experience, you will be placed on a training pathway.
