Description 

This is a temporary position of 30 hours per week providing support in the science laboratories. 

Position Requirements 

A more precise list of duties will be available on appointment, but broadly speaking the duties are as follows: 

  • willingness to support the ethos of the College; 
  • ability to maintain a safe working environment; 
  • working knowledge of materials used in Stage 6;
  • ability to contribute to the continuous improvement of processes within the College; 
  • ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively as a member of a team; 
  • access and use computer based information sources to manage stock and WH&S requirement; 
  • excellent organisational skills that would allow for the timely ordering of equipment and the preparation of apparatus and solutions.

Essential Criteria 

  • It is a requirement that you hold a current Working With Children clearance. Please record your clearance number on your application.
  • TAFE credited Laboratory Technician qualifications or equivalent.

St Francis Xavier’s College is a mixed, non-selective, Roman Catholic, independent secondary school in New South Wales, serving students from the age of 11-18. The secondary school is situated in Hamilton, and has over 1,000 students on record.

St Francis Xavier’s College was founded in 1985 as a school to serve Catholic students in the local area. The school is currently being updated so that it can help fully cater for the needs of students with disabilities. The school is proud of its dedicated teaching staff who encourage students to take responsibility for their learning.
