Vision for Education is seeking to appoint a full time Secondary (KS3 & 4) Science Teacher to join our successful supply teaching team and to work in a local SEND school for Secondary students who have social, emotional and mental health difficulties in South Shields, South Tyneside. This will be a contract for two terms, commencing in September 2018. There is a chance of this temporary position becoming permanent for the right person.
This is a moderately sized SEND School which has an excellent reputation. The behaviour and attitude of the children can often be challenging, so consistent experience in behaviour management and an engaging approach is essential.
The desired Secondary Science Teacher will be supported by an outstanding and passionate management team, and will work alongside some excellent practitioners, who put the children at the heart of everything they do. The desired Teacher must have experience of teaching general science and be comfortable leading classes in both Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
To be considered for the position of Secondary Science Teacher (SEND / SEMH) you must:
- Have experience teaching General Science at KS3 and 4 level either in a main stream or SEND setting.
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Have a genuine desire to become part of a committed team of practitioners who all pull together to inspire in what is a challenging environment.
- Have a passion for teaching with the ability to plan and deliver inspiring lessons
