Job overview

The school seeks to appoint a temporary part-time teacher of Design and Technology from 1 January 2019 for a 12 month temporary contract. Applications are welcomed from candidates who are able to teach Design & Technology to GCSE. 

Candidates should be able to offer up to 0.5 FTE with some flexibility appreciated across a fortnightly timetable. The likely timetable allocation will be discussed in more detail at interview.   

The department has been recently refurbished and is very well equipped with tools and machinery and has a dedicated computer suite with appropriate CAD software. At GCSE pupils follow the AQA Design and Technology syllabus.  

PGS is committed to safeguarding children and the successful applicant will be subject to an Enhanced DBS check.

ISI Report 2022

During an ISI Inspection in late 2022 both the achievement of the pupils, including their academic development and the personal development of the pupils were found to be excellent - the highest possible classification. The Inspection also looked at the School’s compliance with the regulatory standards and requirements. PGS met all the standards required.
