Vision For Education are recruiting on behalf of a secondary school based in the Stockport area. commencing ASAP until April 2019. 

The desired teacher will be supported by an outstanding and passionate management team, and will work alongside some excellent practitioners, who put children at the heart of everything they do. The desired Teacher must have experience of teaching English to GCSE Level.

We are seeking a qualified teacher of English who can teach the key stage 3 and key stage 4 curriculum. The school require an individual who has experience delivering, marking and assessing and that is happy to undertake these duties, the school are interested in both experienced teachers and NQT’s. 

The role would ideally suit an individual who is keen to secure a role in an established department and to work as part of a successful teaching team to maintain and increase pupil attainment. 

You will be required to work in partnership with TA's and other members of the department to contribute to the overall success of the pupils.

Candidates must be able to fully commit to the full time role ideally however a potential for 4 days per week is available.

You will be responsible for;  

  • Planning and delivering of engaging lessons 
  • Assessment of pupils 
  • Report writing 
  • Direction of teaching assistants/learning support 
  • Attendance at parents evening and other meeting as required 
  • Classroom/Behaviour management in line with school policies and procedures 

To be considered for the position of English Teacher you must:

  • Have experience teaching secondary education at KS3 and KS4.
  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) 
  • Have a genuine desire to become part of a committed team of Secondary Teachers
  • Have a passion for teaching with the ability to plan and deliver inspiring lessons
