Teacher of Girls’ Physical Education
Required for September 2019 to join our incredibly enthusiastic, driven and successful PE department.
The successful candidate will be required to teach in KS3, KS4 and KS5 and be passionate about extra-curricular sports coaching. Shenfield has enjoyed considerable success on a national level in boys’ and girls’ football, cricket and basketball and are competitive in many other sporting activities.
The school has a fantastic reputation for Sport and Arts, and admits 10% of students by aptitude to these areas. The School has excellent sports facilities including a swimming pool, 3G Astro pitch and large sports hall with Fitness Room and 2 playing fields.
This post is suitable for new entrants to the profession as well as more experienced teachers. We have an excellent NQT induction programme and a commitment to professional development for all staff.

About Shenfield High School
Shenfield High School is a co-educational, non-denominational 11-18 secondary school located in Brentwood, Essex. At its most recent inspection there were 1,145 students aged 11-18 on the school roll, 350 of whom studied in the sixth form. The area of Shenfield has a population of 5,500 and is serviced by a station on the Liverpool Street Line, which will be the final stop on the Crossrail Elizabeth Line.
Shenfield High School was opened in 1962 and converted to academy status in 2012.
