A well-qualified, inspiring and dynamic graduate is required to teach History and Politics. The Department is one of the largest in the Sixth Form with more than 40% of girls studying one or other subject. 35 girls study IB History, 68 do A Level History and 28 take Politics at A level. 80% of the GCSE cohort study History. The Department enjoys a high reputation for good teaching and dedicated support of the girls amongst the pupil and parental bodies.
The successful applicant will join a dedicated team of professions in a department that is well resourced, and where full support with induction and CPD is provided. The Department is proud of its lively and collaborative approach and aims to get the best from its students in ways that are intellectually demanding, creative and stimulating.
All teachers are expected to contribute to the rich co-curricular life of the College, but there are no residential duties.

College first opened its doors in February 1854 with the purpose of providing girls with a thorough academic education.
