Vision for Education is seeking to appoint a full time KS3 Maths Teacher to support students in a Specialised Provision to join our successful supply teaching team in the Dumfries and Galloway council area of Scotland. 

Vision for Education is a leading education recruitment agency, who provide temporary and permanent teaching and support staff to primary, secondary and SEND schools across the country.

This is a long-term position which is due to commence as soon as possible. This position is to start out on a supply basis, with the potential to lead to a permanent role for the right individual. This role could also be suited to a confident and outstanding NQT who is looking for a challenging yet fulfilling role.

In order to be successful, the candidate must be able to/have the following: 

  • Be Secondary Teacher with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Be a qualified and experienced secondary teacher of Maths however, the school would recommend outstanding NQTs
  • Must be available to work 5 days a week
  • Must have a DBS on the update service
  • Must have a valid driving license and access to a vehicle
  • Must have experience working with children within a SEND environment
  • A calm and nurturing personality 
  • An understanding and empathetic attitude towards young people who have complex needs
  • Applicants must be or eligible to be fully GTC Scotland registered
  • Must be Team Teach Trained or willing to complete the relevant training. This will be provided by Vision
