Are you an excellent practitioner who is looking to gain new working experiences?

Do you want to join a forward-thinking Trust with innovative approaches to learning at its core, a Trust that places children at the heart of everything we do?

From September 2019, we are looking to appoint an outstanding MFL teacher who is determined to make a difference. This appointment will be based in Bedlington Academy, however you may be required to work between Bedlington and Ashington Academy. This is an exciting opportunity to join schools that are undergoing real change.  We are looking for a teacher with drive, energy and a passion for MFL, someone who is forward thinking and is dedicated to ensuring all our students receive excellence every day.

The North East Learning Trust is a growing multi-academy Trust founded by The Academy at Shotton Hall in Peterlee. The Trust family currently consists of the founding school, along with three primary schools and four secondary schools. We plan to expand our Trust across the north east of England, building and strengthening our Trust family as an exemplary school community. Within our family of schools, we have a designated Teaching School and ‘outstanding’ SCITT programme and we were also designated one of only 22 Research Schools country in April 2017. Thus, you will be joining a Trust with a wealth of resources, capacity and expertise.

Bedlington Academy is a caring, friendly and inclusive school that is driven by a clear focus on learning and a desire to develop high aspirations in our students.

Housed in a brand new building since 2016, 650 students across our 11-16 secondary and sixth form, attend our ambitious school.

In 2022 Bedlington Academy received a 'good' grade from Ofsted.

Founded in 1926 as Bedlington Secondary School, Bedlington Academy is now part of the North East Learning Trust. The Trust's vision - that every child experiences excellence every day - is an aspiration that we are fully committed to. We aim to match the achievements of the best schools in the country and we are determined to do so without losing the friendly, supportive and inclusive ethos that makes this school so special.

We want our students to leave school with excellent qualifications, high standards of literacy and numeracy and ambitious plans for the future. Above all we want them to have enjoyed school, grown in confidence and developed a love of learning that stays with them into adulthood.

We are very proud of our students; they are polite, enthusiastic and well-mannered, and they represent their school and families exceptionally well.

The trust is made up of seven secondary schools (including four sixth forms), four primary schools, a teacher training provider, North East SCITT, a national Research School and a National Teaching School Hub.
