Rockwood Academy is a popular school at the heart of the local community. Our last Ofsted inspection (March 2016) rated the academy as 'Good' in every category including pupil outcomes; quality of teaching, learning and assessment, behaviour and welfare and effectiveness of leadership and management. This is a tremendous achievement considering even nationally very few schools go straight from 'Special Measures' to 'Good'. This is a pivotal stage in the development of the new Academy and a wealth of opportunities exist for ambitious and committed teachers.
  We are seeking to appoint a talented and engaging Teachers of Science to join our innovative team. If you are a professional with passion, commitment and resilience, and if you are driven to make a difference to the lives and futures of young people, we would like to hear from you.
  The successful candidates will be joining a vibrant learning community that will offer fantastic opportunities for professional development and will fully prepare the successful candidates for the next step in their career.
