Job overview

We are looking to appoint a positive, dynamic, enthusiastic and well qualified, teacher to join a successful and expanding Technology Team. The successful candidate will be committed to delivering a creative and engaging curriculum which will instil in students a passion for learning and change their lives through learning in Design Technology.

The Technology Curriculum Area is well resourced and enjoys excellent facilities. Class sizes in KS3 are small to ensure all lessons can be hands on and the students can gain more 1:1 support. Technology is taught on a 12 week rotation between Product Design and Hospitality and Catering. The Technology workshops are supported by two exceptional part time Technicians. The focus of the department is to ensure every child leaves the school with a passion for the subject as well as achieving an excellent qualification.

We are looking for a candidate who:

  • Aspires to be an innovative, outstanding practitioner.
  • Is keen to participate in aspects of wider school life.
  • Is a team player with strong interpersonal skills.

We can offer:

  • Excellent professional development.
  • The support of a highly professional and committed staff team.
  • A school with a track record of excellent student attainment and achievement.

Whether you are an established teacher or an NQT wishing to start your teaching career, if you are ambitious, have a passion for Design Technology and are able to deliver excellent lessons that are exciting, engaging and inclusive then we wish to hear from you.
