Cursive Handwriting Booklets and Sheets - Updated

(160)
A series of handwriting booklets, each based on a specific handwriting skill (forming the anticlockwise letters, the tall letters, etc.). If you preview the resource using the preview window then it may look wrongly formatted but when if you download it and open it then everything will be laid out correctly. Update July 2016: updated to join up ALL of the letters correctly. If there any issues or anything that I've missed, then please tell me in the comments and I can adapt the master copies.

KS1 Maths SATs (2016 Curriculum): 5 versions of Paper 1 and an editable version

(19)
5 versions of the KS1 Maths SAT Paper 1 (arithmetic), based on the questions asked in the sample paper provided by the DfE but with individual calculations altered. The test is laid out exactly like the real thing, just with random animals on the front cover. Each test assesses the same calculation skills that are tested in the sample paper but with the numbers changed to give the children more opportunity to become familiar with the layout of the tests. There's also a editable MS Word version if you want to make your own.

A 1m by 1m hundred square for display in the classroom. I've got mine stuck up above my whiteboard and my class find it incredibly useful as they can refer to it without having to go and grab their own individual ones.

Huge Adverb Display

(3)
A selection of massive adverbs (size 310 font) to prompt the children. I've found that most VCOP displays look wonderful up close but are in too small a font to be used on the other side of the classroom. This display is very simple but very accessible.

Think it, write it, read it.

(0)
A simple 'Think it, Write it, Read it&' display to remind the children that to help them to write in sentences they must think of the sentence, write the sentence and then read the sentence. This saying can be combined with simple actions to help the children remember (think it - point to your temple, write it - mime writing, read it - mime reading).

Year 2 Calculations Workbook

(0)
A forty-nine page workbook covering the level of questions expected from the Year 2 calculations paper. The workbook is designed to be printed double sided so that the children can cover the answers and then revel them when they come to mark them themselves. For best results, use a binding comb so that the answers can be folded behind then reveled when the children self assess. The questions get progressively more difficult as you move through the workbook.

A selection of massive conjunctions (size 450 font) to prompt the children. I've found that most VCOP displays look wonderful up close but are in too small a font to be used on the other side of the classroom. This display is very simple but very accessible and when we held our final parents evening of the year, a number of the children listed the display as being one of the things that has helped them the most this year.
