This text to study will allow your students to improve their French as well as their culture: they will learn information about Iceland, its history and its people. The exercises include comprehension questions, vocabulary and writing. They are based on a worksheet written by the “All Things Topics” website but exercises were transformed, images were added and it is in full French (no English at all).

What’s Included
…………………………………………………………………………………………………………………

  • A three-page illustrated, printable and modifiable worksheet (DOCX + its PDF equivalent) with 5 exercises (including a writing exercise).
  • A complete answer sheet (3 pages)

Details:

  1. First, the students will have to read a text and complete the 10 empty spaces with the words from the list on the left.
  2. Then, they will have to find the meaning of 8 words, among the proposed choices. The words are: capitale, éruption, indépendant, source, cendre, escale, touriste, atmosphère.
  3. In the following exercise, 6 questions about the text must be answered (true or false).
  4. Then, 8 multiple-choice questions are to be answered.
  5. Finally, three detailed answers should be written on three questions: would you like to visit Iceland? What are the common points and differences between Iceland and your country? What is your favorite place among those you have visited?

We hope you will enjoy these exercises!
