Vocabulary Words about Work for ESOL Learners

Vocabulary Words about Work for ESOL Learners

This is a powerpoint presentation that has been created for English learners to identify words about work. This would form part of a lesson on this topic of work and jobs. There are pictures on each slide along with a notes area that shows the phonemic pronunciation of the word as well as where the stress should be. The facilitator should elicit the word from the students and then practice saying it as a group and individually.

AFRICA WEEK: Elephants for Africa lessons

AFRICA WEEK: Elephants for Africa lessons

My school was fortunate enough to get Dr Kate Evans in to talk to our top set year 8 students as part of our Africa Week. These lessons were created to support her presentation and would be suitable (with some modification) for an end of term activity or, as in our case, as part of a whole year group activity in support of a special event week. I include the link to Elephants for Africa below should you wish to get in touch with this most worthwhile of charities. http://www.elephantsforafrica.org/
