25 Single Balancing Challenges E-book and Task Cards

25 Single Balancing Challenges E-book and Task Cards

Included in this download is a 30 page E-book with 25 different single balances that you can have students try. Also, you will receive a PDF and JPEG version of a poster with all 25 Single Balances on it to display on your wall, projector, TV or smartboard. It also includes tips for success and common refinements to use during the activity. Note: This book is also available as a bundle with my 4 Week Gymnastics Unit Plan (in my TES Store) How I use this resource: Show students the balances starting with the easiest and moving up to the more advanced balances - Either by printing this guide or projecting it on a TV or screen. Play music and allow students to try to hold the balance for a specific amount of time or longer As students are trying the balances, play some music and walk around and offer feedback. Stop the class every few minutes or so and talk about group refinements and have an exemplar student give an example of their balance and discuss why it looks so good. Note: Balances are all color coded for level of difficulty, Green (easy) Yellow (medium) and Red (hard) Have Fun and Teach On! The Good Sportsmanship Code Poster

The Good Sportsmanship Code Poster

This is a poster that I use at my school called the Good Sportsmanship Code. This is a statement/pledge that I have printed on the wall and anytime a class has trouble using good sportsmanship during a game, we immediately stop the gameplay and bring everyone over to the poster and recite the code together. More info and a video example linked in the download. Thanks! Have Fun and Teach On! Ben Blogger, resource creator and community builder at ThePEspecialist.com

25 Exercise Station Signs + 10 One Page Workout Posters |Awesome for PE Class|

25 Exercise Station Signs + 10 One Page Workout Posters |Awesome for PE Class|

This download contains 2 high quality PDF documents: 25 Exercise Station Signs Download: - 25 different exercises - Each page has an adolescent model performing the exercise - Each page has the targeted component of fitness (Muscular Endurance, Flexibility, Cardio) 10 One Page Workouts Download: - Each page has a one page workout that can be completed in the AMRAP style (as many rounds as possible) - Each workout has the targeted component of fitness for that specific workout I created this resource because I couldn't find any exercise posters that were designed for students, everything I found had adult examples. I wanted some simple posters with a girl and boy adolescent example. I also wanted the component of fitness being targeted to be listed on each exercise. How I Use This Resource: Normally, I have 2-3 signs at each of the 6 stations around the room and we rotate through a Interval Workout of 30 seconds on – 15 seconds off. So students do the exercise for 30 seconds then when the timer buzzes they rotate to the next station and have 15 seconds to rotate and rest. I always have 2-3 exercise options at each station so students can switch if they get too tired (burpees for 30 seconds is pretty tough). After they learn all of the exercises, I switch it up by allowing them to choose from the One Page Workouts and try to complete as many rounds as they can in a 3-5 minute time limit. You can also project them on a screen if you have one available in your teaching space. Hope you enjoy using them as much as I have! Have Fun and Teach On! PE Themed Exit Cards

These P.E themed exit cards are an ideal way to end a lesson. With three different designs to choose from, the exit cards are perfect for laminating and then writing a question on the back with a whiteboard pen. That way the cards can be used again and again.
