COASTAL LANDSCAPES: Shoreline Management + ICZM's

COASTAL LANDSCAPES: Shoreline Management + ICZM's

This lesson is designed to meet requirements of the AQA A-Level specification for the 'Coastal Systems and Landscapes' topic. As per my usual format this lesson consists of; - Starter activity to get them thinking about prior knowledge and using this to link to this lessons learning (hand-out at end of the PPT). - Learning objectives and success criteria that are clearly linked to the specification. - New information and activities that link to shoreline management plans (SMPs) and integrated coastal zone management (ICZM). Use of the AQA A-level by M.Skinner et al (Hodder) is referenced for one of the learning activities. - Plenary/application task - to consolidate learning from the lesson. [- Ongoing study task linked to fieldwork is also provided, with prior exam resources that are relevant included although not part of the cost of this resource as these are available as a free resource from the exam board.] - Further reading with hyperlinked websites.

In this level you can find out what role you play in the warming of the earth, and how we can most effectively combat or adapt to this global issue.
