Halloween Task Card Activity Bundle

Halloween Task Card Activity Bundle

This Halloween themed bundle is packed full of different task card activities that target a variety of different skills for students to work on, while being quick to grab and hand out throughout the day, being re-usble each year and introducing the theme of Halloween into your learning environment. There are a HUGE amount of different task cards included in this bundle which you and your students are sure to love. This pack also contains editable 'titles' to use in the front of storage boxes where you can write the activities that can be found in that storage box. I store these in photo keeper boxes, making them quick to grab out and go, then work my way through the different boxes so students get a chance at working on a variety of different activities. You can use these cards as 1:1 work, group centre work or even as full class activities. Instructions are also included on first pages of each PDF document. I would highly recommend laminating each of the individual task cards so that they will be stronger, therefore longer lasting.

Number: Place Value and Introduction to Abacuses (+ lots of resources)

Number: Place Value and Introduction to Abacuses (+ lots of resources)

This is a lesson that I have thought about putting together for a long time, but as I don't tend to teach a lot of KS3 or younger anymore then it has been a long time doing. Place value is such a vital skill and cornerstone in Mathematics and it never ceases to amaze me how many pupils struggle with it as a concept even at KS4. This lesson combines lots of different activities and types of questions to help pupils improve their understanding of number and place value. It includes a link to a video and a look at Abacuses, which are extremely popular for mental mathematics in China, India and South East Asia. The worksheet is linked to Abacuses mainly as a way of improving understanding of place value and I have added some additional help sheets and handouts for supporting the less able pupils in the class. I often laminated these so pupils can use MWB pens to write directly on them and thus they are also bigger in size. This PPT has 19 slides, so plenty of material... oh plus importantly excellent teaching slides, learning objectives, key words, starter, plenary and ANSWERS. NOTE: Feel free to browse my shop for more excellent free and premium resources and as always please rate and feedback, thanks.

Odd and Even

Odd and Even

Resource Angel have produced a 50+ page collection of cards to be laminated and printables to use them with. we have even included an answer pack to save you time when marking. This is included in the back of the pack. It includes: *numbers to sort *templates to sort odd and even numbers including Carroll diagrams, Venn diagrams and titles. *spot the mistakes: identifying numbers that are not odd or even. *symbol cards to sort into odd and even *cards with sums to find the answer before sorting the answers into odd and even. Teaching odds and evens sounds easy? I was shocked to see that my own class struggled with this. So I created this pack to encourage an exploration of odd and even numbers. I have used this with my students and they enjoyed it! This resource will save you time and gives you the tools you need to create a fun and interactive lesson that will enhance learning. The activities are differentiated accordingly so that every ability in your class will be catered for. These printables are not worksheets and are to be used to compliment your teaching. They are ideal for journals or for independent maths centers. I have enjoyed using these activities in teacher guided groups, whole class activities and when I have wanted a group to work independently. I have even taken some of the activities and used them as class warm ups before a lesson. Simply print and go. We have made the presentation simple so that they prompt the children without overpowering the learning. Enjoy!
