Park School

Park School is an independent primary school in Bournemouth and accommodates approximately 376 pupils.

From their first day at Park School, children feel the strength of our family ethos, and are encouraged to achieve in every area of school life. Members of staff throughout the school are committed to the happiness, welfare and success of every.

Following its most recent inspection in February 2026, Park School has met all the required standards in every area.

The report highlighted a number of strengths across the school:

• “The school successfully promotes effective pastoral care and wellbeing. Pupils know who to turn to with any concerns.”
• “Pupils are self-motivated and eager to learn.”
• “Leaders maintain well-established safeguarding arrangements.”
• “Teachers explicitly teach reasoning skills from Year 3. This contributes to pupils becoming analytical learners.”

Inspectors also recognised the strong sense of community within the school, noting that leaders “involve members of the school community when planning for future projects.”

The popularity of Park School is rooted in the wide range of opportunities and experiences on offer here. Core subjects are supplemented by lessons in technology, languages, the arts, personal, social and health education, reasoning and critical thinking. Carefully differentiated teaching enables children to progress at different rates, challenging our high-fliers and providing individual support for those who require it. A full programme of sports and activities help Park children to become well-rounded, self-reliant individuals who love to learn. It is no accident that so many of our pupils win places and scholarships at local senior schools.
