We are seeking a forward-thinking and adaptable Art Teacher, who will encourage and inspire our learners at Coxlease School.  Please note this is a fixed-term, maternity cover position.

Coxlease School is a specialist provision set just outside of Lyndhurst.  Boasting direct access to New Forest walks and a calming, spacious site, Coxlease School provides a therapeutic approach to teaching SEMH students.  We are a small school with ages ranging from Primary years to post-16, so it comes to no surprise that positive relationships with staff and students is at the forefront of what we do. We provide education through a holistic, SEND friendly curriculum, incorporating therapy, social skills and an enrichment programme into our everyday teaching.

We are offering a unique opportunity to experience a different setting within education, which can support any teacher (qualified or unqualified) with building on knowledge and insight within the social, emotional and mental health sector. This opportunity allows educators to test their skills and ideas in a non-judgmental location, which in turn, allows individuals to reflect on good practice and move forward with their professional development.

Coxlease School is an independent specialist day school, located near Lyndhurst, Hampshire. Our School enjoys a beautiful setting in the heart of the New Forest and is well situated for easy access across to many areas of southern England and the Midlands.

We are proud of our excellent reputation for providing highly eff­ective education, care, therapy, welfare and support for up to 60 boys and girls aged 5 to 19 years old who have difficulties regulating their emotional, social and mental health needs. They may also have other complex needs often associated with autistic spectrum conditions.
