Cover Supervisor 

Term time only - 39 weeks per year

Job start date: As soon as possible 

5 days per week (8.00am – 4.00pm, 35 hours)

Salary: Scale 4 spine point 18-21 £19,921 - £21,990

(Actual salary £17,036-£18,806)  

We wish to appoint a flexible and well-organised Cover Supervisor to join our team of teaching and support staff. 

The successful candidate will supervise lessons, using work set by a teacher, to cover short-term teacher absences. Full training in the school’s ethos, procedures and policies will be given, although you should enjoy working with young people and will have the necessary skills to manage student behaviour.

This is an excellent opportunity for anyone looking to move into teaching and wanting more school-based experience. At JFS, this has proven to be a very successful route for those wishing to gain school experience to support an application for teacher training.
