New College Worcester (NCW) is a nationally and internationally regarded non-maintained special school, devoted to the education of vision impaired young people aged 11 – 19.  

HEAD OF CARE (Ref: C261/0123)

Full time – Annualised hours, equivalent to 45 hours per term time week, with extra hours as required for reasonable execution of duties. On call one night per week, and every third weekend.

The Head of Care has responsibility for leading the successful achievement of the operational element of residential care at NCW in line with the National Minimum Standards. You will ensure that all students are well cared for and supported by our team of trained Care staff, following the guidelines laid down by current legalisation.

NCW is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young adults and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. This regulated post is conditional on two satisfactory and verified references, medical clearance, an enhanced DBS check and Registration and a six-month probationary period.  NCW is an Equal Opportunities employer.
